"You don't have to carry this alone."— Chrissie, Counsellor
About Chrissie
I'm Chrissie — a qualified counsellor, mother of three, and someone who has spent her life genuinely caring about people. Long before I held a professional title, supporting others through difficulty simply came naturally to me. Now, with formal training, I bring that same warmth and compassion into every session.
My approach is person-centered - I believe you're the expert on your own life, and my role is to offer a genuine, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard. Rather than directing or diagnosing, I trust that with the right support, you already hold the capacity to find clarity and move forward in your own way.
I see clients online via Zoom or Teams, anywhere across Australia.
You're getting to know a counsellor through a website and then a screen, so it's fair to wonder who's actually on the other side. Outside of sessions, I'm a mum, and most of my downtime goes to the things that keep me grounded — cooking something new, coffee with friends, time with family, and always planning the next trip somewhere. I bring the same warmth and curiosity to our sessions that I try to bring everywhere else.
What I Offer
Whether you're facing something specific or simply need space to think, I work with you at your own pace — online, from wherever you are in Australia.
The overthinker who can't switch off — work's fine, life looks fine from the outside, but your mind won't stop replaying things at 2am.
The person mid-transition — a breakup, a move, a new job, a loss — trying to find their footing when everything familiar has shifted.
The quiet burnout — still showing up, still getting through the day, but running on empty and not sure how to refill the tank.
If you're facing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem, or burnout, I'd love to help.
Anxiety can show up as constant worry, physical tension, panic, or a feeling that you're never quite in control. Together, in a space free of judgement, we'll explore what's underneath the anxiety and what calm might look like for you.
Book a session →Whether it's a pattern of conflict, a painful breakup, difficulties with family, or simply feeling disconnected — we'll explore how you relate to others and build healthier, more fulfilling connections.
Book a session →Career change, becoming a parent, separation, moving, retirement — big changes can unsettle even the most grounded of us. I'll help you navigate uncertainty, process what's shifting, and find solid ground again.
Book a session →Low self-worth can quietly shape every decision you make. By being truly heard and accepted, many people find the inner critic starts to soften on its own. We'll work at your pace to rebuild a healthier relationship with yourself.
Book a session →Burnout doesn't just mean being tired — it's a deep exhaustion of mind and spirit. If work has taken over, or you've lost the sense of who you are outside of it, let's talk about reclaiming balance and boundaries.
Book a session →Sometimes you don't have a label for what you're feeling — you just know something isn't right. That's enough to start. This is a space to talk, to be heard, and to begin making sense of whatever you're carrying.

The Process
Taking the first step can feel daunting. Here's exactly what to expect when you reach out to Chrissie.
Use the online booking link to pick a time that suits you. We'll have a relaxed, no-pressure conversation so you can get a feel for how I work and ask any questions. There's absolutely no obligation to continue.
We'll take time to understand what's brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping counselling can do for you. This is a gentle, unhurried conversation — not an interrogation. We go at your pace.
Sessions are typically weekly, 50 minutes each, via Zoom or Teams. We'll work through whatever you bring at your own pace, checking in regularly on how things are feeling and adjusting as we go.
Counselling has a natural ending — and that's a good thing. We'll plan a thoughtful close together so you leave feeling equipped with practical tools, greater self-awareness, and the confidence to keep moving forward.
How We Connect
Counselling from wherever feels safe. Sometimes the hardest part of counselling is getting there. With secure online sessions, you can talk from wherever you feel comfortable — your living room, your office during a lunch break, or a quiet spot with a cup of tea.
Sessions via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, wherever you are in Australia. Equally effective, flexible, and completely confidential.
Morning, afternoon, and evening appointments available. Use the online booking system to find a time that works for your schedule.
Questions
Still have questions? Reach out — Chrissie is happy to have a brief chat before you commit to anything.
Each session is 50 minutes. For ongoing work, weekly sessions are recommended as consistency helps build momentum — but we'll discuss what's right for you.
Sessions are $160 per 50 minutes. The initial 15-minute consultation is completely free with no obligation. Payment is accepted via bank transfer or card.
Yes — research consistently shows that online counselling is just as effective as face-to-face. Many clients actually prefer the comfort and convenience of connecting from home via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Person-centred counselling is built on the belief that you already have what you need to grow and heal — my role is to provide genuine warmth, empathy, and a non-judgemental space so you can explore things at your own pace, rather than being given a fixed program or told what to think.
Absolutely. Everything discussed in sessions is strictly confidential. The very limited exceptions to this (such as serious risk of harm) will always be explained to you before we begin.
Life happens — that's understood. Cancellations and reschedules require at least 24 hours notice. Changes can be made directly through the Microsoft Bookings link.
Yes. Our sessions take place over secure video call, and everything you share is confidential — I'll send you a Confidentiality Agreement before we begin that explains exactly how this works. Sessions aren't recorded, and your notes are stored securely in line with professional requirements.
That's completely normal, and you don't need to have the words figured out before we start. We'll go at your pace, with no pressure to share anything before you're ready. Many people find the free 15-minute call takes the edge off, since you'll get a feel for how I work before committing to anything.
We'll spend some time getting to know each other — what's brought you here, what you're hoping for, and any questions you have about how I work. There's no set agenda beyond that; we simply start where you are.
Yes — sessions are online via Zoom or Teams, so you can be anywhere in Australia and we can still work together.
I work with individual adults navigating things like anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem, and burnout. I'm not currently able to offer couples counselling, though this is something I'm working toward. If you're in crisis or experiencing thoughts of suicide, please contact Lifeline (13 11 14) or emergency services (000) rather than waiting for a session — I'm not able to provide crisis support between appointments. If I'm not the right person to help with what you're facing, I'll do my best to point you toward someone who is.
The hardest part is reaching out. Book a free 15-minute call and let's have a gentle, no-obligation conversation about how I can help — online, wherever you are in Australia.
